We offer the High School Percussion class every Wed. from 11:30-12:50.  The students are learning how to create their own composition.  For every class, Mary Impastato, teaches the students how to count beats.  The students understand how to count beats for various time signatures such as 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, 8/8, 9/8. In addition, they are learning the difference between a quarter note, an eighth note, and a sixteenth note. I assist Mary Impastato with interpreting and teaching the course.  It helps me since I am a Secondary Education-Music major at GPC.  I am learning a great deal about teaching the students music.
